Pastor Olufemi Otegbade, is the Senior Pastor of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Jesus Fort, San Pablo, California, which he co-Pastors with his wife and co-laborer, Pastor Elsie Otegbade.
Pastor Otegbade trained as a lawyer. He holds LL.M degree and is a Solicitor & Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He had worked at different times as: Law lecturer; litigation and general practice lawyer; Legal Advisor, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary of Texaco, Chevron and Addax in Nigeria.
His greatest calling has been to the work of God. In 1991, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord at RCCG Apapa Parish at Roxy Cinema and became one of the Pioneer Workers under Pastor Tony Rapu. He immediately accepted the various challenges that came with being a worker in RCCG, including at some point pastoring various churches. Together with his wife, Pastor Mrs Elsie Otegbade and other God loving brethren, God used them to start (from their sitting rooms) RCCG, Love Assembly, Cement Bus stop at Iyana Ipaja; RCCG, Promised Land, Ajah, Lekki and RCCG, The Lord’s Cedar, close to Chevron in Lekki. He and his wife also had the privilege of pastoring RCCG, Grace Assembly and RCCG, Church of the Nazerene.
In addition, they also promoted the establishment of many more parishes in the Lagos Metropolis, as well as in remote (and sometimes difficult to access) villages in Nigeria. Abroad, they also promoted the establishment of parishes in Canada, Faroe Islands, Bulgaria & the Philippines.
In 2010, they were promoted and became Pastor in charge of Province, Lagos province 24 with headquarters @RCCG, The Masters Court, Lekki Phase 1, ( comprising of over 120 parishes.)
After about 6 years of heading Lagos Province 24 (in 2016) God revealed to Pastor Otegbade that the time was ripe for him to hand over the big and flourishing Lagos Province 24 and start a parish afresh in California in fulfillment of the prophecy He gave him about 10-13 years earlier: That he, Pastor Otegbade and his wife, would do missionary work in California, USA.
With the prayers and encouragement of the General Overseer, Daddy Adeboye, Pastor Otegbade and his wife relocated to California early in 2017 and by April 30, 2017 started RCCG, Jesus Fort at 1651 Adeline Street, West Oakland, California.
Their passion lies in raising men and women who are committed to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and releasing them into their destiny as Lighthouses in the midst of the encroaching gross darkness. His missionary journeys and preaching engagements have taken him to different places, including mission fields within Nigeria and to distant places in the world like Faroe Islands, three cities of Bulgaria, Jordan, St Kitts & Nevis, Dominica, St Vincent & Gaderenes, Canada, United Kingdom, various cities of USA etc.
In his spare time he had done farming, baking, cooking, and enjoys being an amateur builder. Pastors Elsie & Olufemi Otegbade are blessed with seven children, some grandchildren and many Spiritual children all over the world.
